The beginner ride was nice for my youngest child because her horse was so gentle. The horses just walked and followed each other. If you want more, maybe the intermediate ride would be better. The staff was very nice.

My daughter, granddaughter, and I took the hour long beginner ride. It was a pleasant ride through the woods. We just walked (which was expected as it is a beginner ride). The horses were pretty well behaved and cared for. Simple ride, but quite pleasant.

My husband and I signed up for the intermediate ride( I probably should of went with the beginners,haven't rode in a while) They were very nice and helpful with my nervousness. Our guide was great,trails were good.It was a good time.

Additionally, you should make a reservation for whatever you choose. The Shenandoah is usually very busy.
