There is a good walking path here with great views of Galena but beware of mosquitoes. I was here towards the end of September and thought there wouldn't be many left, but I left with about 5 new bites!

My husband and I went on a nice little walk after dinner in the park. It was nice to walk across the bridge from downtown to the quiet and calmness of the park. We visited the cannons, fountain, and statues. We enjoyed it.

After shopping on Main St for hours, our 6 yo needed some play time. Very nice playground and swings were exactly what she needed before we made the long drive home

The perfect respite from all the shopping you'll do! This relaxing, well-maintained park offers great photo opportunities and options to explore. There are historical markers -- statues, cannons -- and personal ones (a combined human/canine water fountain erected in honor of someone's beloved pet). We...More
