Lived around here for over 20+ years, and today first time I've been to this slope. Post college days would hang out and listen to bands in the ski lodge, now Basecamp. I have been missing out on local fun. Great bunny hills for a...More

The hill is fine for beginners and early intermediate. There are only ropes lifts, which can become very heavy when wet. It is hard for younger kids to stay on a lift unless supervised.

Great place to learn how to ski/snowboard on your own. Also, great to re-sharpen your skills before you go on a real ski trip. Other than that not much more to be had. I don't do any fancy jumping when snowboarding so I can say...More

Use for getting ready for western ski trips. Always have to get used to tow rope, but facility only opens when snow9both natural and man-made) is adequate. Also, excellent food at pub on site.

It's not Aspen, but for a little local snow hub the kids will love this. Some adults will as well. They have various activities for all ages and skill groups. It really is a hidden little snow gem tucked away in the suburbs!

The Four Lakes Ski area is good for your first ski experience - you don't have to travel far to find out what its all about.

This place is ok, it gets insanely crowded on Saturdays during the day. Best time to go is after 4. Not a bad hill, they do have a park but I wouldn't recommend going till mid January( the terrain park is best then because there...More

We live 10 mins away and had never been here and that's a shame. Our kids were skiing for the first time and took to it like fish to water after lessons. The bar next to the rental shop js great pizza and good beer....More

There is not much to add. Illinois is not know for its mountains but if you want a small quaint place to learn and spend a partial day, it's great. My grandson took a lesson from Scott who helped him master the basics. The joy...More

Only rope tows here but a great starter place for kids to learn to ski and/or snowboard. They have a nice warming area, restaurant, and rentals available including helmets.
