I love Graue Mill, and the area surrounding it. Whether you're visiting the suburbs or you live out here, Graue Mill is a great spot to visit. It used to be stop on the underground railroad, so the history of the building is super important. The Mill gets rented out often for weddings, parties, and reunions, and they always look... More

To think that this place once actually held underground railroad slaves is pretty cool, and to think that this place is still around and looks as beautiful as it is? I would recommend as a fishing spot, but do not plan to spend the whole day here, unless you plan on taking along the beautiful Fullersburg Woods Trail (which I... More

The Graue Mill is a wonderfully maintained, rare opportunity to enjoy the history of our area. It's a step into the past. I highly recommend it to both adults and children. And don't forget to pick up a bag of freshly ground corn meal, with recipes. You won't be disappointed!

Easy afternoon hike around the water with a nice nature museum off one of the parking areas down from the Mill.

Spent a pleasant afternoon seeing the displays inside the historic mill (docents are knowledgable and friendly) and hiking the surrounding trails. Worked up an appetite - had a lite meal next door at the York Tavern. Their burgers are justly famous.

The grounds are well kept and restoration work has kept this jewel a beautiful and historical landmark. Enjoy nature along the flowing river and beautiful dam.

We stopped by here with my niece and her friend from school and they even enjoyed it. We had a very nice older gentleman walk us through the tour and he was so good it was like a private guide. He was very easy to listen to and always made sure we were kept busy and asked us questions too.

Learn how to grind corn or wheat at this grist mill! Excellent info on the underground railroad. After your visit, go to the York tavern close by for more history.

A great example of how we used to live and make everyday things we take for granted. Every town or city used to have one of these around and for good reason to make flour. So many of these are gone now. This one is in exceptional shape. It is being renovated currently and should be even better. Nice area... More

We love to go here and get ground corn meal (coarse ground-yummy!) Lovely gravel walking paths along the river with a nature center about a 1/2 from the mill. The mill does a great job showing how corn meal was made and used. They have a little store that sells time period items and of course corn meal! You don't... More
