I don't think any stop to Pontiac would be complete without a stop to this museum. The museum is free and has a nice collection of both cars and memorabilia. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a nice selection of souvenirs.

Traveling from Springfield from Chicago, we stopped in Pontiac. We were nearby at the Route 66 Hall of Fame Museum - so we decided to stop in. Nicely displayed small exhibit of old cars and Route 66 memorabilia. Good gift shop with fun items.

The Pontiac automobile museum has two great restaurants next door--DeLong's and Bernardi's. DeLong's have the best ribeye sandwiches and Bernardi's has the best fried chicken.
