Although this nature preserve is surrounded by busy roads and highways, it feels like you are at a quiet summer camp. Several trails are available for hiking; bikes allowed on the paved areas only. The paths go past the Des Plaines River, through woods and...More

A nice area that was near where we stayed. We had an hour to wait before a meeting and we spent it in the conservation area. A nice preservation area for this region.

Walked through the forest on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in fall. Sunny day, leaves changing colors, easy to walk on paths. Hard to beat!

It's strange that a forest preserve won't allow pets on leashes of bike riding. Nice building though.
