It has been said that this is the most authentic Japanese garden outside of Japan. I get a season pass every year and spend a lot of time three seasons of the year there. It is my serene place where I go to walk the gardens an read and meditate..

Spent day with my man walking the grounds. They have made this into a real Zen Garden. Just beautiful. So many Koi. Enjoy this stroll.

Good place to visit with friends/family/solo. Gardens are peaceful until the Tuesday evening music which is a delight to attend. Many local eats are represented and there is just a good time to be had.

Went for a late breakfast with a friend back in late Summer. We were seated right by the large windows that showcase a beautiful forest/garden area. Service was good. Food was tasty. Look forward to going back.

We stopped on our way to Chicago because of an Instagram photo I saw. This place is amazing. Make sure you have a couple of hours to spend here so that you can leisurely tour the area. We were there on a weekday and we'd be sure to do that again because we imagine this place to be a hotspot... More

I actually found out about Anderson Japanese Gardens from Instagram and I am so glad for that! We traveled to Chicago from MN and it was right along the way. This is an absolute must-see attraction. It is beautiful, especially in the fall. Plan for a couple of hours so you can leisurely stroll through the grounds. It's flat ground... More
