If you are a history buff then this is the place for you. You will get to see and if you hire a guide hear the history of the Axumite kingdom. Very interesting place to visit.

Had high hopes for Axum but it turned out to be a bit boring. If you are short of time cut this from your itinerary as there are better things to see.

it is not expensive ... around 400 or 350 birr what equals less then 20 USD...yes u can just find them around hotels or the sites.. i was there last week .. u ll enjoy it
