This waterfall is very picturesque and I have seen it in some classic photos in ads. It was a wonderful feeling to see it in person. You can walk behind it and take pictures from many angles. You will get wet from the mist. Bring your rain jacket, it is fun. You can also walk to the top and see... More

Iceland has a LOT of waterfalls! There're everywhere and you can see them while driving but this one was one of our favourites one. We walked behind it but it wasn't as nice as we thought it would be. A bit too muddy, cold windy and, obviously, wet. The views are amazing and if you feel like it, you can... More

A must stop when visiting Iceland. Make sure you bring your rain pants to walk behind the waterfall!

Not only are these a top 10 worldwide waterfall, but Iceland let's you get very personal with the falls by talking behind them. There is no admission. They are accessible 24 hours a day, which makes them a great spot to visit at 4am in the land of midnight sun. Tip: If you are jet lagged, there is no reason... More

It's a lot like the Maid of the Mist boat ride at Niagara falls without the boat...from the getting drenched part that is...even if you don't climb behind the falls you get soaked within 200 feet of it. Be prepared with a rain poncho or another set of clothes to change into. Easy drive on the way to black sand... More

This is one of the stops in our South Shore trip in Iceland. The waterfalls is an easy walk from the parking lot and you get to walk behind the waterfalls. Make sure you wear raincoats and boots because you would really get wet. But this is a very nice attraction and exciting too.

Amazing experience to walk behind a waterfall. It was cold and windy, we got super wet, but we would do it again in a heartbeat. Super cool and not to be missed when on your way to the South.

If you do the ring road, you'll undoubtedly see more waterfalls within a week than you'll see the rest of your live. But this one is special because (weather permitting) you get to walk behind it! It makes you realize just how powerful a waterfall can be! Spectacular and unforgettable experience! Just be prepared with a waterproof jacket, rain pants,... More

This is a lovely little waterfall visible from the ring road on south Iceland route definitely worth a stop to walk behind waterproof gear essential visited in both summer and winter and I prefer our winter visit as less crowded we almost had it to ourselves but when returned last summer it was extremely busy as it is so easily...
