A small museum but, excellent and well worth a visit. I can remember visiting the original site in the 1980's and it's great to see how this has all developed over the years. I learn something new each time I have visited. If you are in the area, make sure you pop in and don't miss the Merlin cafe, you... More

We first had a wonderful lunch in the cafe next to the museum. Then we went round the little but information packed museum. We met Ron a volunteer who used to fly Dakotas in the war. He was facinating to listen to, and a lovely man. Just a point that while you are at this museum, don't miss the other... More

My family and I visited the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum last Sunday and we were very glad we did. The two aircraft on display are both World War Two originals with many artifacts and documents telling the story of The Few and the men and women who helped win the great battle, which raged daily overhead. The staff were... More

Spent an hour here with the children in the school holidays and we all had a lovely time and really enjoyed looking at the history. Next time we'll try the cafeteria. We will definitely visit again.

Absolutely love this free museum, Hurricane and Spitfire looking awesome in the setting that helped repel Hitlers operation Sea-lion. My son had a school project to do on WW2 so what better place to do it. So much to see, i have spent hours ogling all the fascinating exhibits while forties music plays along with Churchill speech's and fighter pilots... More

Popped in on the spur of the moment. Was surprised by how much was on display inside. Unfortunately it was very cold and we rushed around quickly not taking it all in. We will be back when the weather warms up, to learn more about our British history.

This is a fantastic place. We will go back when its a little warmer as understandably its impossible to keep 3 aircraft hangers heated. The range of aircraft is amazing; being able to look inside and put your head provides an immersive experience. This part of the museum you pay for but its very good value as just £2 for... More

We are a family of UK and Dutch decent and live in Holland. During the autumn school holiday we visited the museum with my parents of 81 and my son of 8 (I'm 47). This museum was on my fathers list for a long time and we weren't disappointed: It was a great afternoon out. This museum is lovingly and... More
