We were on our way home after a stay in Broadstairs, decided to have a look at the museum and get a welcomed cup of tea. The museum is free to enter which we were so surprised at, but donations are welcomed. The museum was absolutely amazing, my husband was left in his own world of wonder & memories. So... More

This FREE entry museum is a wonderful find. It looks small from the outside but so much is packed into a compact space. There is an original WWII Spitfire and a Hawker Hurricane besides many other artefacts and treasures of the period. Some of the items in the Museum are reminders of forgotten episodes in the War such as the... More

What a great way to look back on our war history and see first hand some of the war memorabilia. There are some wonderful tails to read about the brave men and wemen who gave their lives for their country. There are 2 aircraft, a spitfire and a huuicane, that took part in the war. For the older generation it... More

Very smart and well presented museum with good access. Regrettably not dog friendly so one of us had to wait outside while the other went in,, but some good exhibits.

I visited with my young daughter, when we entered I was quizzed by one of the staff as to what we was doing there as I didn't look like we had an interest in planes! We was then followed around the museum by the said staff member!! Even when purchasing something from the shop the staff again were very rude.... More

Initially we were unsure about this as only the Spitfire and Hurricane were mentioned. These two are very well displayed and very close to the public. Plenty of information about them too. In the other building, admission £2.00, was well worth it. Up close to historic aircraft which are well displayed.

Right across the way from the equally good RAF museum, the Spitfire Museum is free (though I would've happily paid to have entered) It's a fascinating bit of history and well worth a look.
