15 minutes tops for this Civil War site.

I just happened to be in the area and decided to stop there to read the markers, etc. It's well maintained and worth a quick stop if you are nearby. It's also the only actual... read more

I just happened to be in the area and decided to stop there to read the markers, etc. It's well maintained and worth a quick stop if you are nearby. It's also the only actual Civil War battle to take place on Indiana soil. That being said there isn't much to see there. And any rate, it's just a few... More

As a Civil War and Indiana history buff this was a special site for me. I appreciated the fact that it was not commercialized and still looking much like must have been the day of the battle. Interesting to know that only two Civil War battles were fought on Northern turf and this was one. A informational plaque is on... More

This small park is a quick side of the road piece of history. The site of the Battle of Corydon in Harrison County Indiana, it has historical monuments, a small cabin representative of the era and nice roadside park

A little piece of local Civil War history. This site is notable because it was the only battle fought on Indiana soil. There really isn't much to see or do there, but the park does commentates a worthy event. There is a plaque on site with information about the battle. Worth the stop if you are a Civil War buff.

Visited around 10 am. The park is up on the hill. Very nicely done. It is small. They have a small cabin, but it was locked. There is a monument dedicated to the battle. The teenagers loved the cannon. Cute photo opp. We stayed about 15 minutes. I would combine this stop with Indiana Caverns or Squire Boone Caverns, Corydon... More

Really glad that we went. Our kids got to see the battlefield though it may have been hard to imagine how it was.

Unless you attend the reenactment in July there isn't that much to see at the site. Corydon is a cute town but if you are making a trip only to see this Civil war site then you may come away disappointed. I prefer to go there when there is an event in town then combine that with a visit to... More
