It is sad that no one could raise enough money to save the old Fairmount High School. The stage was saved and hopefully will be displayed the Play Acres Park soon but is currently being stored at the Fairmount Lions Den.

When I first started going too the James dean Show, they were showing his Movies in the high school, was pretty kool. but they stopped becuse of the deterioration of the building . Shame they tore it down !

This building collapsed. Some debris is probably still around. It has a wonderful history, turning out James Dean, Jim Davis who draws Garfield, Bob Sheets (forecast Hurricane Andrew) and Phil Jones, noted sportscaster.
