It's a very small park but nice. You can tell it's well kept by someone who loves James Dean. It was rather late in the season so the flowers were a bit on the wane but I can see that earlier in the growing season it would be even nicer.

This is a TINY park next to a gas station that has a beautiful sculpted JD head. Not much to see or do here, but it is down the street from both the JD Gallery & Fairmount History Museum - take a look at all three... worth the stop!

One of the biggest Car Shows I have ever been too, The Rebel Run, Gas City and Duck Tail all at the same time. Swap meet area new and used, Food ,atmosphere is great. Last two times their, was getting terribly crowded . Local police were ushering people away, no room for parking anywhere, thousands of people and cars. So... More

The statue in Fairmount is just like the one at Griffith observatory in LA. Very nice to see (don't have to go out to CA to see it!). It's a sweet tribute.

this little James Dean Memorial park is a great place to sit down for awhile, it right in town in Fairmount, but quiet and serene.

I've lived in Indiana now for 20 years and never visited the site where James Dean was born, and now is buried in. He was such an iconic piece of Hollywood. I felt like it was time to go see this and it was an interesting drive up to Fairmont, Indiana. It's true, there isn't much to see there if... More

The best time to visit is during James Dean days. Lots of old cars, food, flea market, swamp meets and more.

Nice but nothing special here to see. It's just a grave and you can see them anyplace.
