Great interactive exhibits for families

This treasure had an array of diversified exhibits that encouraged children to join in and experience hands-on what they were learning. Well worth your time to stop and visit.

This sweet museum is a great place for Civil War and pioneer life buffs. If you've lived in Johnson County all your life and just want to know more history, or if you are new to the area, then it is worth a visit. You may want to return to find out more about the current county conditions as well.

Almost every town has a museum but this one is housed in the old Masonic Lodge which itself is a part of history. Come here and find out about the life of Johnson County. A good value!

In a fine old Masonic Hall, this museum sport a nice collection from the pioneer days through the 50s. They seem to have a large genealogy library.

Shows a lot of the local area history from the early indian days to the 50's. There is also one of the very early settlers homes across the alley from the museum

I was with a senior group when I visited the museum. We had volunteer guide telling us lots of history as we roamed through the museum and Hendricks house (outside the museum). Learned a few things I didn't know. Not much hands on items. They have an area for genealogy & volunteers to help as well as Genealogy Day at... More

Interesting museum with county history. Found articles on the old poor farm that my family owned, when couldn't find any where else.
