I had arrived shortly after my flight landed, and ironically the day I choose to visit was the opening day of a new exhibit. "Cars from Indiana" If you are an individual with any appreciation of cars or history, this would have to be an exhibit you need to go see. I choose to take the self guided tour simply... More

I am a big fan of car museums. This on, because of over all car development, is in the top five. It is by far not the largest, but does include a great deal of background history. Worth the trip. Note the museum store, by comparison, is VERY EXPENSIVE.

We went to the Lights at the Brickyard. Very well done, well managed. Huge crowd. I highly recommend spending the extra money to enter through the golf course. There are signs guiding you down 16th street for that option.

We visited from the UK as my husband is a fan, even though I am no, I had a fab day, learnt so much and got to stand on the podium and track and kiss the bricks. Very informative staff and well organised.

We were in Indianapolis for a family reunion and decided to hit the museum for the afternoon. It was a really fun family activity and had a lot for us to see and do. The highlight was the track tour and opportunity to kiss the bricks. Even if you don't like racing, the opportunity to stand out on the track... More

This is a small museum, but has a great selection of cars, especially Formula 1 Cars. I'm not a race fan, but was in town and couldn't visit Indianapolis without stopping at this site. There were numerous Indy 500 winners on display from every decade. The earliest winner I remember was a 1912 car, and the latest, the 2012 winner.... More

The museum chronicles the history of the Indianapolis 500 from its inception to present day. There are cars from the very beginning through this year's winner. There are Indy cars, Grand Prix cars, and Nascars that you can get up close and personal with. The walls are filled with historical facts throughout the years. The museum is small enough so... More

A day of fun and memories. This is a rely nice museum with staff that are supper knowledgeable. Took the 1 1/2 hour kiss the bricks tour and saw a lot of backstage things. Well worth the cost. Spent several hours in the museum and got questions answered. The museum is not big so walking is easy.

We are not race cars fans. However my kids loved it and got very excited. Especially driving in the tour in this huge field.
