I love pointillism and there is a huge collection. I enjoyed the stop motion paintings (I'm sure there's another name for it), Gaugin, Van Gogh, design center, car engineering, gardens, and sculptures. There's a great app that walks you through the place. I only had...More

I visit the IMA a couple times of year for either the summer nights movies outside, to hike with my dog or to spend a day exploring art! Beautiful museum inside and out!

So few people seem to realize that we have a great art museum in Indy. It used to be free full time, but sadly now is only free one day of each month. Definitely worth the trip!

Lived in the neighborhood growing up and the museum was my favorite place to visit in our neighborhood. The new facility is awesome and full of great history and fun things to do! Enjoy your visit!

This was an unplanned stop on a trip that took us through Indianapolis. Finding we were about an hour ahead of schedule, we decided to take a quick look at IMA. Wow! We were impressed! Three hours later we ended our visit only because the...More

This art gallery features a wide variety of art. Admitting I am by no means a critic or professional, I recall the art displays ranging from mid 18th century American to modern. Additionally, there are galleries for Asian and African art. However, the place is...More

Hey there~The art park you are talking about is behind the IMA. I accessed it from an exit off of 38th Street. It's right at the exit and so is a parking lot. At that lot you are right there, a few feet and you are down in... More
