What an incredibly reverential memorial! Very quiet and reflective; sobering. A great place to reflect on those who have given so much for our freedom.

There is an excellent museum in the basement that gives the history of Indiana from the beginning through the present day and it is FREE.

The war museum spans time from the Revolutionary war through modern times. It included bits of history, weaponry, biographies. It is something Indy should be very proud of. It is pays great respect to veterans.

Reminds me of the war memorials in Rome. Interesting traffic circle around the monument. We did not go to the top.
