Great place to relax and day hike

Spent an afternoon hiking and exploring. Lots to see. Trails are marked and run along the White River. Several deep valleys and beautiful trees.

We came to see the ruins and get photos of the fall colors. We spent the day climbing trees and hiking. They have beautiful hiking trails with lots of hills. I can't believe this place has been so close and we've never explored it! Stop in to the Nature Center and grab a copy of the trail map. They also... More

We came for the ruins which I'm sure is the main draw. Many people seem to bring their dogs and we did as well. The ruins are cool if you read the brochure. There are no plaques at the ruins themselves so if you are interested in where they all came from, I suggest looking the brochure up online or... More

This newly renovated city park has a surprising variety of features that make a visit worthwhile. The Holiday Park Ruins provide an ideal backdrop for photo shoots, complete with a fountain, a beautifully manicured garden, and sculptures of Indiana limestone that originally had graced the St. Paul building in NYC. The hiking trails are excellent, allowing visitors to lose themselves... More

We started with a picnic, played on the playground, walked several beautiful trails, playing in COLD water, hiked some more then headed to the Nature Center. Last we visited the ruins. Kids age 13, 12, 8 and 7 were entertained for several hours. We will be back!

One thing different about Holliday Park is the friendliness of the people there. The ruins make it really interesting and all the gardens are great. It's a photographers delight. We try to get 10,000 steps in a day. We did it here without it seeming like a chore. The gulley's down to the White River are well maintained. The trails... More

The playground was brilliant - perfect for kids of all ages. Lovely walks through the woods. The nature centre had lots of activites for children to do with plenty of information on hand for the grown ups.

Holliday Park was once the summer home for the publisher of the Indianapolis newspaper. It has rolling hills and a ravine leading to the river. The trails are just perfect, and in the fall, you can fool yourself into thinking you're in Brown County. There is a wonderful nature center. This park can easily be an all-day destination for families... More

Beautiful forest-like park in the middle of suburban Indianapolis. Perfect for a hike. Wooden walkways and stairs take you from the top of the canopy to a tranquil river below

A beautiful park . We enjoyed playing at the playground. My son loved climbing trees, rocks and running with new friends in the grass. I loved the trail leading to the river. We will be back to explore ag as in when the Nature Center is open.

Thank Amber C
