Renowned author Kurt Vonnegut took an unflinching look at the world, tempered with a satirical eye and sardonic sense of humor. In honor of his wit and wisdom, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library champions the literary, artistic and cultural contributions of the late writer, artist, teacher and Indianapolis native Kurt Vonnegut. The library and museum serves as a cultural and educational resource unique to the nation.

The museum/library is two rooms with art, info, books, and memorabilia. When we first walked in we were a little disappointed - expecting something more. But, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. Curator was very interesting and informative. It's a neat little space. Worth...More

The Vonnegut Museum and Library is a must see if you have ever read a Kurt Vonnegut book and loved it. The museum is small but chock full of personal items, signed first editions, Vonnegut's artwork, and much more. The young lady working on the...More

Hugely enjoyed my visit to this museum and library. Though it was barely three rooms in size, the collection contained pieces drawn by Vonnegut as well as some artifacts from his life. The staff was passionate and the outreach activities looked amazing! Worth a visit.

Did not know Kurt was from Indy, so it was a pleasant surprise finding this. The museum is nice and they have a gift shop with T-shirts and various items. You can visit the gift shop without paying admission to the museum part.

Very nice concentration of Vonnegut stuff. I like seeing his art and watching the videos about him. The computer "interactive" thing was also a neat way to browse Vonneguterry easily and effectively. Contact the Library for info about special events in 2017.
