What a great tour and guide. Guide was very informative, explaining and answering questions. House is kept up very well, with period pieces and some family heirlooms. Loved it!

This is a great example of early federal style, only minimally marred by two more centuries of remodeling. But our enjoyment of this house museum was mostly due to our knowledgeable, enthusiastic docent Gail. She was a gem, and because we were the only visitors she took us on a tour of all of the cellars and beyond. In the... More

I visit Madison on a regular basis for festivals, the state park and the wineries. Those attractions are definitely worth the trip. But the so called national quality historic sites are just like all the other small town claim to fame historic homes. You probably have a half dozen or more in your town and if you live in the... This was an interesting home to visit and the guide was informative. We were able to go into the cellar up to the 3rd floor. Several interesting artifacts available for viewing also.

The Jeremiah Sullivan House tour was very informative, but not over done. Our tour guide lead us around the main floor, but let us enjoy the upper floor and the basement as well as garden at our own pace. It was a nice change from the heavy hitters ( Saddletree Factory and Lanier Mansion) that we had toured earlier. We... More

Once the family dwelling of the Jeremiah Sullivan family, it has been restored and contains many original furnishing. Decorations are typical of the period. Tour guides are quite knowledgeable of the family, house and furnishings.

Very lovely historic home. The guide was informative, but slightly aloof. Sort of a turn off! Décor was authentic and very well preserved.

This was one of my favorite stops. It is no way on scale with the Lanier Mansion but very special. Our guide was happy to show us the home on the first floor and sent us on our way to the second floor and the basement. The basement was by far the best part. The basement kitchen had numerous items,... More
