Squire Boone Caverns is a natural wonder attraction that provides guests a respite from their plugged-in, technology heavy lives. Squire Boone, American pioneer and legend, discovered the caverns in 1790 and soon built a thriving settlement centered around Boone's Mill, which is still operating today. Rich in history and geological wonders, guests to the Caverns will leave with plans to visit again and again. Along with the cave tour and Historic Boone's Mill, activities at the Caverns include: Indiana's Largest Rock Shop and Gem-Mining Sluice, the Soap Shop, Hannah Boone's Candle Shop, homemade sweets and savory lunch options at the kitchen and a nature trail to simply take some time out. For the adventurous, make a reservation for the Squire Boone Caverns Zipline Adventure. The tree-top canopy course is family-friendly (a smaller zipline course is available for those who may not meet the height requirements). The complete tour through the beautiful grounds at Squire Boone Caverns includes 6 canopy zip lines and a swinging suspension bridge. Squire Boone Caverns Zipline Adventures is ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) certified for installation, maintenance and operation, so you can feel secure and concentrate on having fun!

We have been in many caverns through out the country and this ranked up as one of the best. This cavern had so many formations and they were just amazing to look at. The waterfalls were an added plus. Our tour guide Paige was great, very informative and pleasant. Beware, there are about 70 steps up a winding staircase to... More

One of the most beautiful caverns we have visited! Being February and the slow season, we were the only two on the tour and felt like it was personalized just for us. Our tour guide, whose name I forgot, started us off with a box around our neck and earbuds. This was the first time we had used this device... More

Thank you so much for the review. Most people don't think about coming to caves in February because they think they are cold but it's just the opposite. We are a nice 54 degrees all year around. I will let the staff know you enjoyed your tour and once again thank you so much! More

Beautiful and peaceful walk. Learned about the history of the area, and how the cave was formed. The guide was awesome and so friendly. They give you headsets to wear the whole time to be sure you can hear the guide talking while in the cave which is handy because of the waterfalls in there. The work they have done... More

Took the Dyngus family to squire boone and we loved it. It was a full tour of 21 people. Before you get started they will give you a little box to put aound your neck with ear buds. They use them so you can hear your tour guide as your walking and they are not yelling. Good move! The tour... More

The Dyngus Family! We are so glad you liked our new communication system. We love the fact that everyone can now hear the tourguide even when the water in the cave is pretty loud. Thank You so much for coming and seeing us. And thanks for the review! More

My husband and I decided to go sight seeing and make a stop here. Due to it being off seeing most of the little shops and things were closed. But we were able to take a tour of the cavern which was beautiful inside and our tour guide was really sweet! Also there is a lot of steps on the... More

On a recent Indiana and Kentucky caverns adventure we visited Squire Boone 's Cavern in Mauckport. This was our favorite tour. There is a small log cabin "settlement" with shops and a visitor center. The cavern and surrounding land was owned by Daniel Boone ' s brother. Not long after entering the cavern there is an underground stream that cascades... More

This place is nothing short of fascinating! The history of Squire Boone and the discovery of the cave system is amazing. The staff and tour guides were top notch! The 73 step spiral staircase that begins and ends the tour makes for a challenging stretch of the legs. It's definitely worth it to witness the incredible sights within the cavern.... More

Our tour guide here was great and really informative. The gift shop had a lot of really cool things too. My only complaint is if you have really small children, it's a lot of walking for then and carrying them up and down the steep stairs was no easy feat.

We visited because I won tickets through an auction. My wife had been before and I hadn't been. We barely missed the noon tour so we signed up for the 2pm. In the meantime we browsed through the gift shop and made our purchases. Then we sat on the front porch of the gift shop and spoke to one of... More
