Old Lighthouse Museum is in beautiful repair, but it looks like it came out right out of a 1920's magazine. The paintings, the furnishings are perfect. The views are for taking pictures.

Walk out to end and around the base of light house, when safe to do so. It is a nice walk a time of day. If waves, or ice are over concrete it not safe. Enjoy the fews. You can see Chicago's skyline if clear.

The staff was very friendly and you could tell they were really proud of the museum and loved to talk about it. I don't like guided tours and they understood that and stayed near by, but close enough to answer the questions that I had....More

This is an amazing fount of local history, both inside, and on the grounds.Be sure to take a walk around outside, and read all the plaques. . Also very inexpensive.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday 1 to 4 pm with a small admission fee, you take a self directed tour of the old lighthouse and can walk up to a viewing cap to see surrounding vistas.

Hi Kathy okay the hours are a bit limited but it's worth it they are only open from Tuesday to Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Central Standard Time you'll love it have a good time all the best Donna

Admission $5 age 14 and over, $2 under age 14, and preschool free. When you come, go over the bridge, follow the street. It becomes a boulevard. U-turn left at first turn-off. Follow street. See lighthouse to the right... More
