You will get an immersive experience with a huge collection of military aircraft. Can you imagine that the heavy bomber of WWII (B-24) is about the same size as a modern ground attack aircraft (A-10). See an example of one of the first intercontinental bomber (B-47). You can walk around the military version of the Boeing 707 that is still... More

Currently remodeling indoor part of museum. Will reopen March 3. You can do the outdoor airplane & watch tower self guided tour. Lots to see & if you're lucky, a plane or two might take off or land from Grissom Air Base.

Was driving from Indianapolis to Shipshewana and noticed this air museum just off Highway 31. They have a nice collection of about 25 planes (F-14, F-14, B-47, A-10, and others). The planes all sit outdoors. They do not appear to have been restored and are all sitting out in the elements. This has had some affect on their appearance, but... More

I had visited to outdoor static plane exhibit many years ago but never been inside the museum. There are many hands-on exhibits and informative displays; I could have spent another hour or two. The museum was normally not open when we got there but they opened the doors for us! The curator was very friendly, immediately pointing out the restrooms... More

We had such a fun time here. You can get into the cockpit of a few planes, read about the history of the different fighter jets, and ask the staff about anything! If you are win the area, you must visit.

Great place to visit with kids. Great staff! Lots of aircraft to view plus a tower to climb up in. What could be a better leg-stretcher for the kids and also educational?

We stopped here on a bus trip with about 40 people. The staff were all very pleasant and incredibly informative. They always knew all the answers to our questions. There are a lot of interesting items inside as well as outside. I would definitely recommend a visit. To take it all in would take about an hour to an hour... More
