Renowned for its rich athletic tradition, the university is a beautiful place to visit, with such religious attractions as the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, the park-like setting of its huge stadium and the abundant artwork.

We were traveling from Chicago to Grand Rapids and had a few hours to kill so we stopped to see the ND campus. We enjoyed our visit, but I don't know if the history and landmarks would be as meaningful to someone who is not Catholic. The Basilica is stunning and the campus setting is gorgeous. It was a beautiful... More

Excellent hotel, great breakfast, nice walks alla round the campus with two lakes, even some wild-life (I do not mean the students hanging bikes on the trees). Buildings are open to the public. the law school's library is rich and beutiful.

My husband attended Notre Dame so we love taking the kids to campus when we have the chance. It is lovely, and there are several things to do while on campus.

The campus is so beautiful! They have tours that take you around campus to see all the "famous" structures (the basilica, the dome, Touchdown Jesus). Love it!!

Mostly we went here to view the campus and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. You don't have to be Catholic to enjoy the church. It is very pretty and is the prettiest church I've seen in the US. The University is nice to tour and if you just want to take a walk this is the place to go.

The campus of Notre Dame is exactly what you'd picture it to be. Everything is historic but in pristine shape.

I managed to come up with tickets to Notre Dame vs Stanford. ND lost, a weak talent year! But every game is an experience regardless of the results. It was quite warm for a mid-October night game, temp at game time was 68F. We stayed at a hotel 35 minutes away as to be expected nearby hotels are sky high... More

The campus is gorgeous but my problem with Notre Dame has to do with the surrounding area. The campus has a very distinct feel compared to the surrounding south bend. It leaves a bit of a sour taste in your mouth because while Notre Dame is rolling in money the surrounding town is obviously neglected. I spoke to many graduate... More

We stopped in to check out the campus while we were in South bend. It is so beautiful. I would love to stop in in the summer and have a picnic sitting by the dome
