The Cedar River is accessible at so many different points. In some places it is a mighty river, and others it meanders peacefully. I heartily recommend finding as many different access parks as you can, to get a real feel for it. Best place in...More

I always like to look at the Cedar River when I am in Cedar Rapids! I like watching the river flow through downtown. I like watching it from the bridges and from the Interstate. I remember fishing off the bridges in downtown as a child....More

Although prone to flooding with sometimes terrible damage, when tame, it's a beautiful river winding through the city. Nice on the bridges watching the water.

It is a mid size river that is ok to watch. Some water activities but it is not very deep which leads to it's flooding.

Beautiful and such a river rich in history. The locals were biking (ending their rides as "Kickstand," fishing, walking, watching and just hanging out. So peaceful and makes the whole city!

With over 5 miles of length in the City, it gives a lot of different sites and views. With area that allows skiing and boating to rapids, there are views and activities for everyone.

Interesting and enjoyable to view in different seasons. Not so much in the downtown but either up or down where there is more wild life. The flood of 08 destruction of the neighborhoods and the city's development of flood plain is also interesting and provocative.
