Took my mall walking Grandmother to enjoy a beautiful day while getting some exercise in. She loved it. Great views and wide and open enough for many.

It is a peaceful, park like setting to walk or run in. Even though many people at peak times, especially summer evenings, still plenty of space. And safety in numbers, never afraid because never alone. Good for families or more serious exercisers. Most keep pets...More

We think this park with its lake, trails, and water works is an excellent recreation and leisure park in the capital city.

I had a great time visiting this park and had a nice walk along the water. It's very peaceful and green but you don't feel isolated as there were many people also enjoying nature. it's easy to get to ans has lots of parking.

This is a great little lake with a 2 mile walking trail around it. It was pretty busy after work (around 5:30), but not crowded. All sorts of people walk, run, bike, kayak, etc. It's a beautiful little park close to downtown. Highly recommend.

We only had a short time to visit this park. We could have spent two full days there between the extensive trails, swimming, and kayaking available.

The south entrance and area is the most grill friendly part of the park. For a another nearby family place with grills I would recommend Union park and another not too far is Cottonwood park near Saylorville Dam...
