Worth the buck per carload.

The rain limited our view, however, the park is beautiful, offers a commanding view of the lock and dam and the Mississippi River. Ten out of ten.

Beautiful views

Very pretty park with beautiful views. Lots of areas to sit or picnic. Worth the time to explore for a small fee or to sit awhile and enjoy the river.

Beautiful Park
Sep 2021
This is a beautiful park - costs $1/car to enter. Lots of shelters for picnicing/getting out of the weather, etc. Good facilities. Buildings and gardens are very beautiful. The walkway above Lock & Dam #11 allows you to see IA, IL, WI. Eagles/pelicans were plentiful (although there weren't any boats going through the Lock & Dam). We watched a Doe with twin fawns, turkeys, eagles/pelicans, and a hummingbird!! Very enjoyable afternoon!

Great view of the river.

It is a park so there are a lot of places to picnic. Popular with wedding parties too.

The draw for me is the scenic view of the Mississippi and the lock and dam below.

It is even better when there is a barge going through the lock.

May not see any eagles in the summer, but it is still worth the visit

Good time
Jul 2021
This was a cool park! You have to bike all the way to the top of the hill to see what's there. Not going to spoil the surprise but worth going up all those hills. Lots going on in summer. This connects with other paths or you can just bike around the city. It was a lot of fun people watching and the cars are cool with the bicyclists.

Beautiful park system... large & well kept. Right along the might M, but where were the eagles?? We visited around 3pm & saw only 2 eagles. What a bummer.

It shows the bridges of the Tri-cities. Great meeting place. Family reunions, picnic areas, playgrounds and paths to walk.

Beautiful Scenery

We were recommended to go here by a vendor in Galena. We came here late evening. This is a very well maintained park with a gorgeous view. You can stand in Iowa and see Wisconsin and Illinois from the same general area. There is an overlook of the lock and dam. It only costs $1 per car which is very reasonable. I would go again if visiting the area.

Beautiful park w/great views
Jun 2021
This was gorgeous! There's $1 fee to get in, but don't let that stop you. Plenty of places for picnics. Lots of shelters (not sure if you have to pay to rent). At the top is fenced off area to view mighty MIssissip and see lock/dam. We timed it to see boat going thru and locks opening - great videos/pics. Wish the signs would note which way you are viewing the 3 states (IL/IN/IA). some of trees block view, but overall you can see plenty and stay as long as you like.

Nice park
May 2021
Nice place with plenty of areas to picnic or just sit and watch the river. $1 per car to get in. We were late getting there on Memorial Day (after 5 pm) and the place was mostly deserted except for the family blasting rap/hip hop.
