This was a pretty spot, and having seen Bridges of Madison County, it was especially interesting to see this particular bridge. We spent a couple of hours seeing several of the bridges in Madison County. Even if you aren't familiar with the book/movie, it's a...More

I guess this is where Clint was in the movie, but I didn't see it. Still cool to think I was where he was -- closest I'll ever be! We stopped at this bridge twice. After our initial visit, we heard/read stories that it was...More

Roseman Bridge is a longer but pleasant drive to the southwest from Winterset, first on Highway 92 and a left turn onto Roasman Bridge Road, follow the signs carefully as the route zig-zags. This is one of the two bridges used in the movie, "Bridges...More

This bridge makes we want to reread Bridges of Madison County. Beautiful bridge where a beautiful thing happened in the book. There is a gift shop nearby, but was closed the day we visited.

Beautiful covered bridge that was featured in the movie The Bridges of Madison County. There are 6 bridges in the area but this one is probably the most visited. If you loved the movie it's a must see.

A great place to visit on a nice afternoon drive. Well preserved. Didn't know they were used in the movie, Bridges of Madison County. Very disappointed at the amount of graffiti left behind by thousands of visitors but I tried not to let that distract...More

We were driving down the road and saw the signs for the John Wayne Museum and when turned off the highway we found the bridges of Madison County. What a find. We say the movie years ago, but never gave any; thought into seeing them...More

You probably could, but it would not be a place that I could see working well for the event. It's way out of town, very dusty roads, not a lot of parking and, being outside, you never know what the weather will do to a... More
