The House that Wilt Chamberlin Built

This is a one of a kind field house. This is the home of the Kansas Jayhawk basketball team. It also houses historical artifacts of KU athletic personalities and programs.

The Booth Hall of Athletics has a lot of great memorbilia and displays for diehard Jayhawk Fans. Some of the displays are interactive and others have things you won't see anywhere else. Of course a big plus is that it is free but be sure to watch where you park. Some of the lots have restricted parking during the day... More

It's a great place to visit where you can see a little bit of history. There are a diversity of KU sports' material in there.

I found this a basic trophy case but enjoyed very much learning about the history of basketball as started here. It was also fun to test our wing span against famous KU basketball grads and to see the inside of Allen Fieldhouse. Otherwise reminded me of a big high school brag exhibit, mostly basketball.

I learned so much about the history of college basketball as well as Kansas basketball. My best friend who wasn't really into college basketball but came with me on my trip here is now in love with the Kansas Jayhawks. The experience was amazing here I would recommend saving a bunch of money so you can buy all new KU... More

I posted this on the University of Kansas page but maybe it would be more appropriate here so here goes: We're a french-irish couple with a seven-year-old son and we'd been in New York for three days to visit friends when my partner (who is basketball-crazy - I am a basketball widow in March because he stays up til crazy... We traveled from TN to watch the ballgame. Allen Fieldhouse is a great place to watch a game. Wished we had won. The KU fans were super nice and the place was LOUD!

Just inside the entrance to Allen Fieldhouse (referred to by some as the "Cathedral of Basketball"), this place showcases Kansas University's history of basketball, going back to its invention in the 1890s by KU's first coach, James Naismith.

The Booth Family Hall offers a nice tribute and history of KU athletics and it is fittingly located in the Allen Fieldhouse which has been a venue for great moments in KU sports history.
