When driving through Kansas to Minnesota we had to stop, because we weren't going to be there anymore! Bad joke aside, it was a cute stop for a small town. It is a little outdated, but almost better as a retro stop, it just fits the vibe. We unfortunately missed the tour, but the walk about gave a good feeling... More

You can't turn around in Liberal without seeing some sign to go see "Dorthy's House." We decided why not? When we got there we found it was just a replica of the house that was in the movie, not even any original house artifacts. I wouldn't have been as disappointed if their advertising had been upfront.

We didn't take the tour due to time constraints, but we did look around the gift shop and museum. It was worth the few minutes we spent on the tour. I guess the story is that someone from Liberal went on a vacation to California and asked someone there what it would take for them to visit Kansas. The bewildered... More

I learned from TripAdvisor this town has Wizard of Oz and I never knew this is the town. I know it was in Kansas so I went to museums and has Native American historical and movie bluff of wizard of oz.

The tour was great, but limited updates to the museum and displays. Was still cute and made its point. For young kids or Wizard of Oz fans this is still a must see.

So we're on our way back home after a sad family emergency and I wanted to do something to lighten the mood a bit. We saw the signs and stopped in. It was a cute little place and was a nice stop.

Very cute walk through of the movie, nice little park and our tour guide was enthusiastic. If you have kids or just want to do a little reliving of your childhood, stop here and take 15-20 out of your road trip and do the tour. The props are nicely done and the collection they have is neat to see.

The actual house used in filming Wizard of Oz is here. You can tour it as well as a museum and art collection. I've taken several people here as we pass through Liberal. This is a must if you like the movie Wizard of Oz.

We were traveling with a six-year old, so the campy tour with Dorothy in costume was just fine (although the six-year old got just as much out of the playground as the tour). It's great that that have this in Liberal, KS, but it could be a bit more polished. The young girl in the wrinkled Dorothy dress seemed like... More

Kind of hoaky but cute. Liberal adopted itself as the official home of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. May have been more exciting back in the day. Tour guides were very rote in their presentations. Still glad we stopped. Can now say we've been there,
