Historic site on top of a hill.

Nice views of Kansas farmland. Worth the drive to see the sunset. Great spot for a picnic. Only 10 minutes from Lindsborg.

The Heights are 300' above the local plains and that gives you a great 360 degree vantage point to see for miles and miles in all directions. Lots of picnic areas that get a lot of family usage. The castle was a depression public works project and has undergone a recent renovation. The steps up to the second floor are... More

You won't believe that this castle and park exists in countryside Kansas! On the top of the hill in the area of the USA where Coronado explored, this memorial park and castle structures are very interesting and unique. Drive just out of town and find this place!

I love this place! As a kid we lived in Assaria, dad would take us up here. We would pick up pizza from pizza hut in Lindsborg and come up here to eat dinner and such. It was awesome to come back and relive some memories. This place is great to have a picnic and explore. Its a little of... More

Beautiful view. Pathways are a little rough but the view is great. Several people were eating lunch at the picnic tables.

Coronado Heights is a fascinating piece of early American history. A lovely elevated view of central Kansas. The ancient fortification is quite intriguing out in the middle of Kansas.

Coronado Heights is a WPA project. It sits a top a bluff and the 360 degree view of central Kansas is worth the drive but take the time to visit the sandstone buildings and walk the paths. You can spend 30 minutes or hours if you bring a picnic lunch and sturdy shoes. Coronado Heights is a great place for... More

We visited Coronado Heights a few weeks ago and were disappointed to see that it was fenced off and under restoration. We were pleasantly surprised to see that it was open to the public on Saturday and had big crowds as people came to see it. The "castle" is small and mighty. You'll want to walk up the steep and... Beautiful views, a fun little day-time adventure. We took our dog and hiked around, it was so pretty and unique.
