On a recent field trip, which also included the Flint Hills Discovery Center, I took my grandchildren to the Insect Zoo at K-State University. Easy to find on campus and parking was right there. I didn't even know this place existed before I found it...More

Spend about 1 hour here with two 7 year olds and a 3 year old. Friendly staff. Very small building but, lots packed inside! Priced very reasonably. Enjoyed touching a tarantula and a cockroach.

This is a fun and unique experience for the whole family. Who knew an insect zoo could offer so much in such a small space? Doesn't cost a bundle and the staff is always willing to share their knowledge.

The name says it all. Its an insect zoo, and its very well done. Not huge, but crammed with quite a selection. Thousands of mounted examples, and quite a few live exotic insects and spiders behind glass. The building is surrounded by a lovely set...More

Very nice staff. Hope to see them again. Their observation hive is going again hopefully strong with the good weather.

I visited this insect zoo with my mom. It costs $2 per person to get inside. I loved all the insects they had and there was even a couple of touchable ones (if you're that brave).

Thanks for the great review! It is currently $2 a person to visit for active military and their guests, everyone else is $3. I am glad that you enjoyed our "creepy crawly's" and I hope you are able to return again.

I took my oldest and dearest friend here when she came to visit from out of town in April. We thought it was lovely even though the gardens were not in bloom yet and under construction. My daughter and I had a silly fun time...More
