This is by far the most authentic Sod House I saw on my trip. Too bad there is some vandalism as it is sitting in the city park. But it is free to look at.

This little sod house was built by the Marysville Kiwanis club to replicate what domiciles were common on the Prairie a hundred and fifty years ago. The house is well maintained and open to visitors all the time during the summer. Parking is only feet...More

Ok here I and my husband had a huge issue. Yes it is made of Sod but that was about all that even related to it being a Sod house. For one it has wooden window frames, wooden door/frame, wooden roof with shingles...also the inside...More

It is a Self toured Sod house. It is authentic and it is an important part of our Prairie Heritage; however, it's still just a sod home.
