There aren't a lot of places to take out of town grandchildren here in Pratt but this a gem! It's not large but it has many interesting displays of various stuffed native animals and birds and their eggs. There are also some live fish and snakes and a honey bee hive.

Great little museum with numerous displays, dioramas, aquariums and exhibits which provide close encounters with the native birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles of Kansas. Adjacent to the fish hatchery. There are several other attractions nearby. Pratt County Veterans Memorial Lake is nearby. Great day outing for adults and children alike.

My wife likes snakes for some reason and she enjoyed the displays of live snakes as well as the aquariums. My daughter's really liked... More
