This is a great place for a bourbon tour. Not your fancy tour all cleaned up. This is a working tour and you get to see all the dust and people working. Love it and the bourbon is great.

I am torn about three vs. four stars so given the choice, I would have said 3 1/2 stars. The tour guide was knowledgeable but lacked the warm connection we experienced on other tours. The tour, itself, was different from the others we experienced in that we climbed a lot of stairs and were really in the belly of the... More

We didn't expect much before we entered the area. But we were so wrong. The free tour was amazing and very long and informative. Our guide Amanda took well care of us and we learned a lot. We will definitely recommend this to our friends! Thanks for taking care of us!

We picked this distillery because of its location. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. No charge for the tour and tasting. Our tour guide Kati was awesome and very informative. I learned a lot about bourbon and more. The ladies in the gift shop were welcoming and helpful. We would recommend a stop here in you are in the... More

Very nice to visit though it is not technically on the bourbon trail. The tour is free and you get a free tasting and chocolate afterwards. They also give you a bung that they will date stamp for you. Everyone is very friendly.

My wife and I took the Estate 2 hour tour. Our guide was Marjorie. As it turned out, other couple didn't show so we got a "private" tour. Marjorie was absolutely fantastic!! So insightful, engaging, patient, humourous etc. She is a terrific ambassador of the establishment. We went through the entire process and it was one of the absolute best... More

Last minute decision to stop here & get on a tour. Very friendly hostesses & tour guide Marjorie. Nice gift shop & just enough chocolate bourbon cream left for me to grab a bottle. Very nice tasting too.

Can't believe that there is no charge for a detailed, small-group tour at Barton's. We arrived and only needed to wait 15 minutes for the next tour. I've been to distilleries in Scotland and Ireland and what I've been shown seems cleaned up and located in the tourist area of the plant. This is authentic, dust, noise and all. Our... More

I was completely wowed that they offer a full tour and tasting for FREE. The guide (totally blanking out on his name) was fantastic and such a wonderful personality. He did a great job at walking us through the tasting, teaching folks how to enjoy the bourbon properly. Highly recommend it as a visit if you are in Bardstown.

The tour was the best one in the area... and it was free! Definitely recommend! Our tour guide was very personable and informative. The gift shop was nice too with an assortment of items.... not just bourbon.
