We truly enjoyed learning the history of the area. It was done very nicely with lots of good information. We suggest everyone that comes to the area to visit this museum.

Amazing collection. Not crowded at all. Lots of history. Loretta Lynn's dresses were so neat to see.

This isva quaint museum but rich in detail and history. Loretta Lynn's exhibit includes a few gowns...one she made herself (see photos) The Cherokee story of the moon and the black couple who were friends in high school and ended up marrying later in life....More

Very interesting!! I have lived in KY all my life and have known many coal miners - this was such a neat way to see into their world! Portal 31 is a must see!!!
