I was not as impressed as I thought I'd be with the Center. I was expecting a lot of hands on crafts being shown, but on the other hand it was simply a gift shop with restaurant.

Great choice of crafts to choose from, with knowledgeable people on duty to help explain and demonstrate. The Sand Sculpture outside was magnificent and very impressive work! Leave at least a couple of hours to visit

Really interesting and clean place for travelers to catch a break. Clean bathrooms. Lovely, but expensive gifts available by extremely talented crafters. Exquisite gifts. Large shopping area. Restaurant. Very comforting place. We took a nap in truck in parking lot and felt extremely safe. Many...More

Minutes off the interstate, this extensive craft shop offers a broad variety of Kentucky-sourced gifts, both fine crafts and foods. The cafe was closed when we arrived but I suspect would be a great alternative to the usual interchange chains.

This place is excellent. The artisans once a month do demonstrations of how their particular craft is done. The best time is at Christmas when it's all so festive. There is something for everyone but not really recommended for small children. It really is a...More

We stumbled on this place a few years ago when traveling and now make it a definite stop on our way north or south. The restaurant is fantastic and the art is wonderful.

The Kentucky Artisan center gives you great information on the history and evolution of Kentucky culture and arts. Very interesting displays, including a sand sculpture outside of the main building.

There are no outside exhibits. It's all indoors. Only service animals allowed. We left our dog in the car listening to his favorite music with the a/c on so he would comfortable. Best to leave a note inside the window too.

It's a trap. Admission is free but the temptation to buy the art is hard to resist. The art is unique and fairly priced. Food and drink also fairly priced. Great place to stretch your legs.
