This a a very beautiful park with some of the best overlooks of the south eastern Kentucky mountains that exist. Usually not very crowded, very well kept, with nice picnic areas. Little Shepperd Trail is a great nature drive, but be warned, to the east of the park between the park and HWY 119 on the Whitesburg side Little Shepperds... More

We aren't hikers or particularly outdoorsy people but we loved the beauty of driving through this area.

Myself and a friend have utilized the campground at Kingdom Come State Park twice now as a base to explore the great motorcycle roads in that area of both Kentucky and Virginia. When we weren't riding, the park has several hiking trails that are short enough that you don't need to be a dedicated hiker to enjoy. The park is... More

As is all of extreme Southeastern Kentucky, this mountain range is beyond beautiful. Well maintained roads throughout the park allow for driving tours. Do not miss any of the overlooks! Any season is well-taken. If you chose to drive along the Little Shepherd Trail, understand that there is no room to turn around and very little room to meet oncoming... More

Stopped in this park on a lark just to see what it had. Very glad we did, the park is not one of Kentucky's better state parks but what it lacks in amenities it makes up for in views, trails, picnic areas and solitude. Very steep drive on curvy road to top, great views from the overlooks. Several nice picnic... More

At an elevation of 2,700 feet, Kingdom Come State Park, sits at the crest of Pine Mountain near Cumberland, Ky., and has the highest elevation of any park in the state. Nature lovers come to enjoy the panoramic views from eight overlooks, the 38 miles of trails through 1,283 acres of wilderness and a fishing lake. There is no lodge... More

Incredibly beautiful views with many photo opportunities. We didn't get to see any wildlife but others who have visited before said that this is not the norm. The park name is very appropriate.

Wow! Such a gorgeous, serene park!!! My husband and I took a short road trip to get away from the tourism madness that happens in the Smokies this time of year. I needed to see some mountain majesty that wasn't cluttered up with tourists and traffic. Kingdom Come delivered and then some. The park was very clean with scenic vistas... More

The park is due for a couple of updates but that doesn't take away from the beauty of this hidden gem, the shelters with natural cut stone are quite lovely along with camping access and picnic areas as well as play grounds for the kids, their's a decent sized lake that is stocked with trout and cat fish for the... Staying in the area we decided to check this place out. Following the gps on the phone it took us to the old enterence. There is a very small green sign saying the new enterence is 1/2 mile up the road. We stopped at the visitor information area which was closed. The gift shop & ranger station was also closed....
