When you get to the Visitor's Gate, you need a photo ID such as a valid Driver's License. Once you are allowed access to the Fort, the Museum is fairly easy to find. It is a very informative museum, especially about Patton's leadership philosophy which...More

You must obtain a visitor pass (allow 15 minutes) to gain access to Fort Knox and to get to the Patton Museum. Access into the museum is easy and there is no charge for admittance. Once in the museum, there are excellent visits and lots...More

Having been a Marine, General Patton is one of the few Army officers we looked up to. In fact, after reading about him, many of us wondered why he didn’t choose the Corps. He certainly would have fit in. Aside from being a Marine, I’m...More

I've never seen an open tank there but there's been quite a lot of work there in the last year or so. There is still a lot to look at and plenty of static displays to see.

No T-29 at the Patton Museum now, or anywhere at Fort Knox. The two examples at Fort Knox (I believe there were two, not sure) were sent to Fort Benning, where they are in storage.
