Our first visit ever to a distillery, and since we were in Frankfort we chose to visit Buffalo Trace. We were impressed as soon as we drove onto the property. Everything just looks nice. We entered the visitor's center, and southern hospitality was on display. The waiting area for the tours is full of distillery history, and employees are very... More

We did two tours here. The normal bourbon tour, our guide was Logan, the other was the ghost tour, our guide was Jarrod. Logan was knowledgeable about the history of bourbon and the history of Buffalo Trace. Jarrod was knowledgeable about the history of Albert Blanton and the house. Both tours are highly recommended

This was our first distillery tour. It was very interesting to learn how the process works. Our guide was friendly and informative. You get free samples at the end.

This is a wonderful distillery tour. The visitor's center has some nice displays and the tasting at the end of the tour is thoughtful. The guides are informative and know a lot about the history of this national historic landmark.

We knew that our visit to Kentucky HAD to include at least one tour of a bourbon distillery. We were so happy that we listened to the advice of the ladies at the Visitor's Center in Lexington and chose this one! It surely did not disappoint. Our tour guide was a lovely gentleman who outlined before we started exactly where... More

I did 2 tours in one week. First was the Ghost Tour with the hubby and neither of us were too excited about the tour of the Blanton home and hearing the stories of the various encounters but we loved the tour of the warehouse where the barrels were kept and loved the tasting the most- I personally loved the... This was my favorite distillery tour I've ever been on. First, it's TOTALLY free. The tour was super informative, historical, and fun. We went with friends who have been there 3 times and they said they have learned something new every time. The tastings at the end were awesome and generous. There is a great gift shop and the prices... More

We went to two distilleries on the Bourbon Trail; this one and Woodford Reserve. Will was our tour guide and he is a plethora of knowledge on everything Bourbon. He was awesome! The distillery has a great history lesson in the name behind it, Prohibition, and the art of making Bourbon. We did not get to see the making in... More

Our COMPLIMENTARY tour, led by Fred, was awesome. We got a quick overview of the mashing and fermenting parts of the distillery, skipping over the still and bottling. The distillery is the oldest continually operating distillery in the US, and you can tell. Our small group really enjoyed Fred's quick tour, and the sampling at the end was fantastic as... More
