Church with a view
May 2021
Seen St Hardulphs Church from the A42 and decided to visit, lovely church at the top of a narrow road, plenty of parking and spectacular view from the grounds, well worth a visit.

Great views

The church is set on the top of the hill at Breedon on the hill. You approach the church along a narrow road that goes up to the top of the hill and right to the church. The church can be seen from miles around. This means that from the church you can see for miles. It is windy at the top. There is a good car park and viewing stations with information boards about what you can see in the distance. It's well worth a visit.

Well Wort Checking Out - Breathtaking Views
Aug 2018 • Family
This is a beautiful Church to check out, high up in the beautiful village on Breedon on the Hill.
You take a winding road up to the top and it's a real surprise to find a Church was build so high up above ground level.
The village as a nice selection of pretty pubs if you fancy a drink on your way down from the Church.

Worth the drive up!

Fascinating church and churchyard, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. For those who like reading gravestones, there were a lot which appeared to be on slate, and very clear to read centuries later, which is not always the case.

Beautiful

We visited on Sunday 6 May 2018. It was a beautiful day and were completely blown away by the whole thing. This beautiful little church perched on the top of the hill was very interesting inside and out and the view of surrounding countryside was amazing. Well worth the trip. Worth taking binoculars.

This church takes your breath away on a beautiful spring day
The atmosphere and the history is all around.
Just ten minutes from East Midlands airport by car do a detour and come visit
I've attended a few services here also and this church is as beautiful and welcoming on the inside and the outside

Very interesting indeed even if you don't usually bother with churches

We found this by accident while driving nearby after dropping off our son at the airport.
This is a fascinating place and even if you aren't attracted to churches or enchanted by history I guarantee that you will be enchanted by a visit here
If I had realised we would have parked at the bottom and walked up the hill as I think the would have enhanced the experience but you can drive up and park outside
I advise making a detour to visit this place if you are anywhere nearby, you will find it memorable and fun including the old tombs inside.

Well worth the climb
Feb 2018 • Couples
A very steep and narrow climb to the top of this beautiful historic church. You can drive up to it and there’s enough room for cars to park comfortably if you can’t manage the walk. Amazing view of the county. Quite open so need to be well wrapped up for a winter visit. Beautiful church worthy of a visit and great views.
