Fun and informative tour made more than perfect by the amazing, funny, and super knowledgeable Steve Fontay (sp?). Only 5 min from Maker's Mark Distillery, the tour of the small craft Limestone Branch makes a perfect complement to the big commercial distillery tour. Generous tastings of bourbon (of course), but also of tasty craft rye and gin, and super yummy... More

Great tour with lots of personality. Probably about our 11th distillery & really enjoyed this one. Loved the little trailer rickhouse with baby sized barrels. Thanks for a nice time Stephen. A free tour & great tasting.

We visited the distillery with friends for a tour and tasting. This is a smaller craft distillery. The tour was free, the tour guide was quite enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We particularly liked the tasting—a wide variety of samples offered, plenty to taste with a narrative to accompany your drinks. Some unique and flavorful types of their bourbon and other whiskey... This is such a charming establishment just a ways from Maker's. They'll invite you in like family and make you feel at home. You'll be entertained, educated, and get a little buzzed. They have more than bourbon; try the Kentucky Moonshine. Their flavors are excellent but what truly makes the tasting memorable beyond the rustic bar, Stephen, their Exec. Bourbon... More

The tour and tasting were totally free. The 'guide' was an absolutely amazing story teller. He made this the most fun and educational tour that I have been on so far! Highly recommend!

We have toured most of the Bourbon Distilleries in Kentucky as well as operations in other states and countries. Limestone Branch has something very unique in that their staff and owner make you feel so welcome and part of the family. What a unique experience to have an Executive Bourbon Steward who knows his history but relishes the telling of... More

We stopped here for a tasting ( free 6 pours) . Friendly staff, nice gift shop with some unique gifts and local honey. I did not think I would like the moonshine- boy was I wrong- we ended up buying the Moon pie chocolate moonshine.

We missed the tour but were invited to join the tasting at the end of the tour. The tour guide was very energetic and complete. The products were good, though we didn't try the flavored moon shine.

We have visited many distilleries in Kentucky...this one was one of the best! It is a craft distillery which means it is small. It also means that everything is very personal. Steve gave us an awesome tour...a lot of information and fun! The distillery makes some great bourbon and moonshine. Tasting was generous and delicious! You are in for a... More

I have visited Limestone Branch Distillery a few times since it opened in 2011. Back then they fermented their moonshine in 80 gallon barrels on the distillery floor. Very small batch Moon Pie and Sugar Shine when they first started out in 2011. For a short time they distilled Tim Smiths (Moonshiners) Climax moonshine when he first went legal. Over... More
