Part thoroughbred race course, part sales company and considered one of America's most beautiful tracks, Keeneland is known for its well-designed and meticulous landscaping. The grounds consist of the paddock, a prep area where visitors can view horses up-close just before the race and a combination of dirt and turf race tracks.

Keeneland is right up there with Saratoga, NY for beauty and tradition. We enjoyed the park and the races. Reasonably priced admission and food and superb Southern Hospitality!

We have gone during the spring and fall meets; all kinds of weather. We tailgate on the Hill before the races and then head in at post time. The grounds are beautiful. There are plenty of bars, betting windows and food options. We buy covered...More

We had a very informative tour of the track and the stands, the sale barn and some of the common areas. Tour guide (Dave, retired school teacher??) was very personable and very engaging.

Best racetrack in the US, and a Lexington institution. Great experience, even in the pouring rain. Wear your coat... it's always breezy. Dressing up for the event is fun! Also investigate breakfast at Keeneland.

As a Central Ky resident, I have lived for 75 years within 25 miles of this most unique place. It is widely known for its thoroughbred racing but it is also rather like a working garden for training and buying and selling and conditioning and...More

I was an equine lender for years so visited many of the tracks in the US. Keeneland tops them by far for the ambiance, beautiful and comfortable facility, awesome food choices, and great setup to actually see the thoroughbreds up close. They offer different programs...More

Boxes are not available for sale during the April or October meets, as they are already "owned" for the entire year. Some box owners will allow the track to offer them when not in use. Contact the box office to see if a... More

Men have to wear a jacket. I don't think you have to wear a tie anymore. Take one, just in case. Woman have to dress nice, like Church clothes. No denim. Look on internet for Keeneland, dining rooms. It will tell you all... More

Uber Lines are a mess. Free parking is available on the hill (5 min walk to the gates, but bus is free for transfers). Preferred parking is $5 dollars. Valet is around $20. Never worry about parking. The hill is the best.
