I enjoyed visiting the Kentucky Theater (or Kentucky Theatre) to see a classic movie from 1962, today, Wednesday, June 14, 2017. On Wednesdays the theater currently features classics. Fred Mills, the manager of the Kentucky Theater, is a wonderful gentleman. I got to the theater...More

I pretty much LIVE at this theater, so it can do no wrong in my opinion. The building actually combines two vintage theaters, each with its own distinctive decor. Plus pipe organ music before some film screenings. Many larger cities would envy this venue AND...More

The ambiance here for seeing a movie is just the best! I so enjoyed visiting once again. I went to movies here back in the 70's when I was in college so it was great to revisit.

It's nice that they've preserved the downtown theater. We didn't see a movie there, but they do show old movies there in the theater.

We traveled to Lexington for a University of Kentucky campus trip and was looking for top attractions and noticed this gem. When looking up showing, we spotted Star Wars and knew I had no choice but to buy tickets for all of us (4). It...More
