This is an amazing piece of Civil War history, a must see! It is very accessible for interstate 75. If you are passing thru from Mt. Vernon, KY toward London, KY, it's just minutes from the interstate.

On a trip from Falls of Rough to Appomattox, we detoured to see this battle site. If you fear driving on a narrow one lane road with few available "squeeze bys" and no turn around space for three miles, avoid this site. Thank goodness we...More

While visiting my family, they suggested we go here for a tailgate picnic. Reading about all the history of this place was very interesting. We also took hikes which was fun. The longest hike is the best with shade & places to rest along the...More

Finding this site was half the fun. It's certainly off the beaten path but if you are into hiking or a Civil War nerd, this is the place for you. Interesting history and remote family cemetery in the area

We saw the sign for the Camp Wildcat Battlefield and were taking our time to get to Gatlinburg, so we decided to check it out. The only bad part was that the road was mostly one lane and we didn't have a GPS so the...More

Fantasic area, hiking is perfect. The canons and trenches are a very cool component at this battle ground.

I love history and the dedication to our fallen heros, although there was not alot to see. The road traveling to get there is very dangerous and if you meet a car even more because there are not guardrails. We did meet a local there...More

Most civil war battlefields have been altered drastically since the battle took place. This field is very much the same as it was when the battle took place. The trenches are visible and very well preserved. With that being said, it is not fully accessable...More
