Traveled to Louisa for the start of a 10-day golf trip and started with a couple of rounds at Eagle Ridge. First round was about $30 with carts and the follow up round was half that price. Found the layout to be fantastic; challenging, but achievable. The course was in good nick apart from the bunkers, which were struggling a bit due to recent heavy rains. However, having agreed, our foursome chose to take drops out and it didn't affect our enjoyment at all. This is one of the prettiest courses I have ever been on. The hills add so much character to the course. It is a very difficult course to play for beginners such as myself, but we had a group and played best ball which was perfect! This is the second time the family has drove 6 hours to play this course and will probably continue to do it every year as long as we can all get together. Makes a great place to be together with the family over the holidays! We stay at a local cabin, have Christmas and spend 3 days golfing. Our kids asked for it for their present again next year! The manager of the course (Tila) and her husband, Jody are such great people. Went above and beyond for us to make us feel welcome.…
