I always watched the Derby, but did not know much about Derby history until I visited. The museum was well done with lots of interactive exhibits. We also enjoyed the movie and the tour of the track. We spent about 2 hours one afternoon.

The movie is absolutely amazing 360 view. If you have a couple of hours worth the tour. They even take you into the grandstand.

Everyone should visit The Kentucky Derby Museum at least once! It depicts the rich history of the Kentucky Derby and the movie on the 360° screen is fabulous!! I've taken many visitors to Louisville to this museum and everyone comes away "blown away."

We have so much fun each time we bring out of town guests, from looking at the derby hats, to being an announcer, to the beautifully done show. There is something for every age. Just really enjoy going.

This is a wonderful place to learn more about the history of the Kentucky Derby up close and acurate. Several hands on exhibits. Don't miss the movie in the round. It is as though you are in the outfield while the horses are running.

You get to go right against the track and take pictures in the Winner's Circle. Tour is about 30 minutes. TIP: ADD ON THE BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR! For a little extra... More
