We went with the family and we were the only ones there . Quiet and peaceful- it allowed on to think of the people ( both free and slaves) that called this place home. Though the buildings and visitor center were closed there are historical...More

Speed home, where Abraham Lincoln once slept. Unique architecture with original belongings. Docent was a pinch lackluster but had lots of knowledge. A definite must see.

Great place , wonderful place to take children who want to learn about history. House is full of original furniture from the 1800's. Abe Lincoln was a visitor there, much information given on him and his life there.

We generally try to make it out to Farmington for the annual Derby breakfast. The grounds and garden are lovely and the house really holds a lot of interesting history to learn about.

Stopped here on the way back to camp, the staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a house tour, but it's an hour long, too long for my 3 and 4 year old to behave. But you can do a self guided tour of...More

You would never know while driving down Bardstown Road that Farmington Historic Site is hidden whims a tree- lined area. Once you are there it is as if the city doesn't exist. It's quiet and peaceful. From time to time there are art fairs, etc., such...More
