Many cool restaurants and bars are located in this area. Close to many hotels and open late. Lot of places for bourbon tasting and music.

This looks to me like a very nice center for a drink, a bit and a hangout time in the weekend if visiting Louisville. I enjoyed the atmosphere

This area is obviously designed for tourists, but has a great selection of restaurants and bars in the center of town. It is worth a visit, but I'd also recommend exploring other areas outside this compact area.

We thought there would be more to do during our weekend in Louisville, which is why we booked downtown -- right near 4th Street Live. I was disappointed with the options, basically just chain restaurants/bars and no activity or shops.
