Lively Stroll

Lively and busy but exhilerating experience. Plenty of good restaurants around and about, including pubs.

The selection of restaurants and bars is great. HARD Rock is also there and they have a huge covered area to wall everywhere and have live bands for 10 dollars. We just saw Sheila E there and it was a blast!

Sorry - I LOVE LOVE LOVE Louisville, but this place is more of a tourist trap than a real "attraction." You CAN get anything & everything to eat & drink - and it is very convenient to downtown hotels. But I'd rather drive to the artsier sections of Bardstown Road, St. Matthews or Butchertown.

We visited the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse and found a lively pedestrian mall with popular chains (Fridays, Hard Rock) and interesting local bars and restaurants. A band was setting up on the large outdoor covered stage in the center. I wished we were going to be here for the entertainment.

There is nothing wrong with fourth street live and if you are 21 to 30 I am sure you would love it. But I have no desire to blow $10 on a cover charge and than pay twice what a normal drink cost. This is more for a frat party than a group of adults going out for a drink... More

Having visited Louisville each year for the Mid America Truck Show, we try to visit Fourth Street at least one night for a drink, meal and some nightlife. This really is the in place to go in Louisville.

4th Street Live is appropriate for the whole family. It consists of a lot of eateries and live music and art. My family and I enjoyed walking the blocks people watching and enjoying the scenery. The bright lights were captivating. We also ate in one of the restaurants then grabbed ice cream in a parlor. Then we walked back to... More

Lots of places to stop at. Definitely try Guy Fieri's restaurant and the the fudge shop! The shows at the fudge shop alone are worth a trip to Fourth Street!

I think it was built for tourist, because I'm not sure that locals would be all that excited about it and I guess you'll find some shopping and restaurants so maybe locals use it too, but it was quiet on the day I went there. Anyway, it was ok and worth a look, but not really anything exceptional as it... More
